Altered Imagery

In this project, I explore the use of artificial intelligence as a creative layer within the artistic process.

I start with paintings conceived and created by humans, which I then feed into an AI to transform them into photorealistic images.
I deliberately select the most imperfect interpretations, those where the AI fails to faithfully reproduce the original intention, where the image is most altered and then rework them by modifying and reinterpreting certain parts.

This approach highlights what I believe to be essential: the artist’s vision, their choices and their techniques.
AI is merely a tool here, one layer among many.
It defines neither the content, nor the intention, nor the final result of the work.

Further works will enrich this constantly evolving research.
