The Tulip Crisis

In this work, a bunch of tulips bought in a supermarket, still bearing its price tag, draws us back to one of the earliest episodes of speculation in history: the tulip mania of the 17th century.
At that time, the price of tulip bulbs reached astronomical levels before crashing abruptly, leading to the ruin of many investors.
Through this parallel, the work explores how value, whether natural, symbolic or economic, can be constructed and amplified.
